Searching & Filtering

On an average day, Copart lists 350,000+ vehicles for sale in 220+ locations across the United States. We’ve made it easy to find vehicles that will fit your need with our Vehicle Finder tool.

You can search by entering vehicle details in the search bar at the top of any page. You can search by year, make, model, condition and location. You’ll see a list of vehicles that match your search results. To the left you’ll find filters to help narrow the list down to the vehicles that fit your needs. You can filter by year, title type, condition, and even location.

Search by Location

You can search and filter by ZIP code, city and state. You can set your location in the Vehicle Finder or use the filter on the left-hand side of the search results page. You can also enter your city and or state in the search bar located at the top of the page to see all vehicles in a specific geographic area.

You can even sort vehicles within a specific diameter of a location, and sort cars in order of how close they are to that diameter.

When you click on a vehicle in the list you’ll be taken to the Lot Details Page that includes more information, and tools to help you keep track of it, estimate shipping costs, and win or buy it.

Watch/Watchlist

When you find a vehicle that interests you, click the Watch button in the second column on its search results listing or at the top right on its vehicle information page.

Your Watchlist keeps track of the sales date, lot number, and current bid before the live auction begins. You can set up email and text alerts to let you know when the vehicle is coming up in a live online auction, too.

Vehicle Alerts

If you can’t find the vehicle you’re looking for, you can set up a Vehicle Alert and we’ll notify you when a vehicle that matches your search becomes available for auction on Copart. If Copart can’t find any vehicles that match your search criteria, you’ll automatically be taken to the Vehicle Alerts form to set up notifications. You can also set up alerts by selecting Vehicle Alerts from the top navigation menu.

Action Alerts

These alerts notify you when a vehicle you’ve placed a Max Bid on or added to your Watchlist is coming up for auction. You can choose to receive alerts by:

• Text Messages
• Copart Member App Push Notifications
• Web Browser Alerts
• Emails

You can set two different types of alerts to make sure you don’t miss an opportunity to bid and win.

• Auction Alerts – Notify you 15 minutes before your vehicle’s auctions begins.
• Lane Alerts – Tell you when your vehicle is within 5 lots away from live bidding.

You can set up and update your lane alerts in the Preferences Center option under the Account Menu/My Account button at the top right of the screen.
