Title for Non-US Residents

How do I get the titles for the vehicle(s) if I live outside the U.S.?

Most of the ways you can receive your titles require you to have a Limited Power of Attorney on file with Copart.

This allows Copart to put a vehicle into your name. We can then send the title along with your transporter and/or shipping company. Be sure to contact the Copart site where the vehicle is located and tell them how you want to receive your title(s).

You can have the title shipped to a US mailing address, and then have someone you trust forward it for you. Some of our Members set up Post Office Boxes in the US and have their titles forwarded to them. Copart cannot ship titles internationally.

Go to the Document Uploader section of your Account menu, download the form and fill it out. You can upload the completed form by taking a picture with your mobile device, or by scanning it and uploading it. Some states require POAs to be notarized, which you might want to do anyway if you plan to buy cars from other states. Then you’ll be ready to take an auction opportunity when you find one.
